FAQ’s
Below is an evolving list of Frequently Asked Questions related to the conference. If you do not see your question addressed here, please send us an email at conference@farmtocafeteriacanada.ca
We understand many prospective delegates have a long way to travel and/or represent educational intuitions or not-for-profit organizations. For this reason, we are striving to keep conference rates as low as possible for everyone who will be attending. As such, we are pleased to offer an early bird rate of just $250+GST. This is the only available conference discount, so we encourage all presenters to register by the early bird deadline of March 15, 2019.
The conference program is currently being finalized and all presenters will receive specific details about their sessions by March 30, 2019. This includes date and time of your presentation, specifications for Audio Visual (including date by which to submit final PowerPoint slides), an connection to other presenters (if you are in a combined session).
At present, we are not seeking volunteers for the conference, however; as the conference draws closer, we may solicit volunteer help. If you would like to be placed on our volunteer waiting list, please contact the conference coordinator.
General conference updates are communicated twice monthly. You can register to receive updates here.
You can find more details about the conference here, including “who should attend.” You can also learn more about why this is a “different kind of conference” by reading a message from our Master of Ceremonies, Dr Theresa Healy, here.
6. Will you be offering discounts, stipends or bursaries for students, farmers, or others who are unable to come otherwise?
We are actively looking for sponsors to provide bursaries. If funds to attend the conference is your only barrier please send us an email and we shall put your name on a wait list
